Tell us about your professional life before J.Hilburn? 

“I was a professional engineer and retired a few years ago to start my own consulting business. However, I was becoming bored and needed something for myself. I started participating in art, calligraphy, and some other creative things. When Evey mentioned JH in mid-2022 it piqued my curiosity.”  

Why did you decide to become a J.Hilburn Stylist?  

“In November, Evey contacted me to tell me about the TNT day and I decided to go for it! Before the end of the month, I had sold eight shirts! I love the creative outlet this gives me, and that I can really help men look and feel great.” 

What has been the key(s) to your success? 

“I practiced on everyone and that led to several orders placed due to the excitement! When I drove to the Nashville, TN meeting and met other Stylists, I learned so much about the company and brand.  

Being around other successful Stylists was amazing! Since then, my average order has gone up over $500, and now averages $1000/order! All because someone took the time to share with me the full capsule (Shirt, Trousers, Jacket, Belt) instead of me thinking of just starting them with a shirt. That has been a game-changer, for me. Additionally, I have to say that Stylist Care has been phenomenal in helping me succeed by going the extra mile.” 

What advice would you have for other new stylists?  

“Having your Mentor attend appointments with you and connecting with other Stylists so you can learn from their success to apply it to your own clients. 

This is such a fun and creative business. The day I received my new Swatches, a friend was over, and due to my genuine excitement for the product, that conversation turned into a sale for a $1,400 sportscoat! I wasn’t trying to sell her anything. I was just excited and sharing with a friend. Yes, you’ll have hard-to-please Clients and yes, you’ll make mistakes, we all do. However, you will also have those who trust you with all your recommendations and want you to be their Stylist. Keep going and you’ll eventually find your following! Be excited, be confident, and share your love for J.Hilburn and it will come through loud and clear to those who will appreciate the brand!” 

What’s next for you? 

“This next week I should receive my first suiting orders for a couple of Clients! It’s always exciting to see things for the first time and see Clients thrilled with their orders. I’m also excited to see how I can expand this business, and the new Clients I will get to meet along the way. I am also delighted to share J.Hilburn with people! My goal is to have 2 Stylists on my team by the time I come to Conference in July. I know I have something GREAT to offer to others and just want it all to happen now!”
